By Road: Jammu and Kashmir is well connected by road to all other major cities of India through NH 1, NH 1A and NH 44 and the Jawahar Tunnel, which connects Jammu with the Kashmir Valley, is also located on this route.

NH 1 - was a National Highway in North India; it is a 534 KM long highway that runs between the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Leh-Ladakh.
NH 1A - was a National Highway in Northern India that connected the Kashmir Valley with Jammu and the rest of India. NH 1A is 663 KM long and runs from Jalandhar in Punjab to Uri in Jammu and Kashmir.
NH 44 - is the longest National Highway in India, running from Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) to Kanniyakumari (Tamil Nadu), covering a distance of approximately 3,700 KM.

By Air - Sheikh Ul Alam International Airport or Srinagar International Airport, also known as Budgam Airbase is the busiest airport in the state. You can find frequent flights from all major states to Srinagar airport and the Jammu Airport (Jammu Civil Enclave) is a domestic airport, which connects Jammu with major cities.

By Rail - Jammu Tawi Railway Station is a major Railway Station in the state of Jammu and Kashmir which is well connected to all the major towns and cities of the country. Jammu Tawi to Kanniyakumari (Tamil Nadu) is the second longest Railway Route in India (approximately – 3,400 KMs).
